Sensitivity : The Metal Detector will be designed to detect FERROUS & NON FERROUS metal sphere and above depending on its aperture size. The sensitivity is usually defined as the diameter of the smallest size sphere which is always detected, irrespective of orientation and shape of material.If any metal particle to be detected is not sphere, its orientation and shape do matter while attaining the sensitivity. Also the following factors influence the sensitivity which can be attained. These include product characteristics, type of metal to be detected, aperture dimensions, and metal particle position within the aperture.
