Description
Solid titanium billet (diameter = 50 mm and length = 50 mm) will be hydrostatically extruded to form wire of 3 (or 3.25) mm diameter in 20 passes with cumulative true strain of 5.47. Therefore, a hydrostatic extrusion press, 20 dies (die angle = 45), solid titanium billets (diameter = 50 mm, and length = 50 mm), and a special lubricant (a combination of lubricants based on PTEF and MoS2) are required. The main specifications of the required hydrostatic extrusion press are: 1. Bore diameter = 65 mm, and 2. The pressure = 1.7 GPa. Offers for the press, titanium specimens, dies, and the special lubricant are required.
